Lung Cancer "Foodie Friday" - Symptom Week - Fatigue

Friday June 20, 2008

One of the most common, and frustrating, symptoms of lung cancer treatment is fatigue. Fatigue can be a result of surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or occur simply from the strains of cancer on the body alone.

It seems most of the world lately complains of being tired to begin with. Add to that the fatigue of cancer, and the best intentions to eat healthy meals can fall by the wayside. Having a list of a few simple, easy to prepare meals can be helpful. Allowing others to help, and providing your loved ones with specific things they can do to assist you – such as bringing meals, is another step you can take to get the rest you need.

This weeks easy recipe is provided by About.com’s Guide to Busy Cooks, Linda Larsen.
