Advanced Lung Cancer

Definition:

Advanced lung cancer refers to cancer that has spread either locally, or to distant regions of the body. Advanced lung cancer usually refers to non-small cell cancer that is stage 3B or stage 4, or extensive stage small cell lung cancer.

Lung cancer can be advanced at the time of diagnosis, or become advanced later on if it grows or spreads.
