Definition:

Chemoprevention is the practice of using of drugs, vitamins, or nutritional supplements to reduce the risk of developing, or having a recurrence of cancer.

Also Known As: chemoprophylaxis
Examples:
Shirley entered a clinical trial where researchers were studying whether aspirin has a chemopreventive effect on the development of colon cancer.
