Definition:
Prognosis is a prediction of the chance of recovery or survival from a disease. Most physicians give a prognosis based on statistics of how a disease acts in studies on the general population. Prognosis can vary with lung cancer depending on several factors, such as the stage of disease at diagnosis, type of lung cancer, and even gender.
