What is a Partial Response?

Definition:

A partial response means a response to a treatment such as chemotherapy that is an improvement, but not a complete response. In lung cancer, a partial response would indicate at least a 30% decrease in the size of a cancer, but not a 100% decrease.

Examples:
When she went in for her follow-up after chemotherapy, Joan's doctor told her that she had a partial response to the treatment.
